Skip to contentA complete camera-scanning system is built from four coordinated components: copy stand, film holder, light source and leveling head.
The copy stand provides the working height and structural stability for the camera.
Select a holder that matches the film format you intend to digitize. Available systems cover 35mm/135, XPan, 120 formats, 6×12, 6×17 and 4×5 sheet film. Check the individual product page for the supported image area, glass structure and included masks.
A high-CRI, even light source supports consistent exposure and color. Match the illuminated area to the outside dimensions of your film holder—not only to the film frame itself. Larger holders and stitched workflows generally benefit from a larger light pad.
| Workflow | Suggested Stand | Suggested Head |
|---|---|---|
| 35mm and occasional 120 | C2 Pro 60 cm | Panoramic base or VTP |
| Frequent 35mm and 120 | C3 Ultra 60 cm | VTP |
| 4×5 or stitched large format | C3 Ultra 78 cm | VTP or RTS |
| Critical parallel alignment | C3 Ultra 60 or 78 cm | RTS |
SuperStable camera clamps use the Arca-Swiss standard. They are not directly compatible with Manfrotto or other proprietary plate formats unless a suitable adapter is used. Copy-stand packages include an Arca-Swiss compatible quick-release plate; standalone VTP and RTS heads do not include a camera plate unless the product listing explicitly states otherwise.
International-order notice: products that normally contain bubble levels are supplied without bubble levels for overseas air shipment.
